Roberto Cibrian Campoy

Roberto Cibrian Campoy is founder and president of CCD2. An architect, graduated at Universidad de Belgrano, Buenos Aires in 1983, he created his Architectural Office and built four buildings in the City of Buenos Aires, among other various projects.

During that first period he developed all its architectural projects following the last 3D

   

and design technologies, Autocad and 3D Studio, technologies that were in their preliminary steps in the industry at that time.

In 1991, R. Cibrian Campoy decided to move away from the constructing side of architecture and venture fully in the development and creation of design for electronic arts and multimedia programming.  He founded CCC (Cibrian Campoy Creativos) and carried out important projects for computing animation and interactive applications.

CCC had a very interesting list of clients, among which were VISA Argentina, Banelco, Impsat, Pfizer, Universidad de San Juan, Telefe (the local telephone company) and Hotel Alvear, among others.

In 1996, he created and co-founded with Mr. Roberto Vivo and a Group of investors one of the leading portals in Spanish, www.ElSitio.com, with local contents from very important cities in Latin America, and  the only company in Latin America in the technological field that was traded publicly at the New York Stock Exchange (NASDAQ).

Mr Cibrian Campoy was the Chief Executive Officer of El Sitio from January  1997 to 2001, at which time he and Roberto Vivo together with investors at El Sitio merged assets with the Latin American TV and Radio network belonging to Grupo Cisneros and Hicks Muse Tate & Furst, creating the new company Claxson, an enterprise that carried ahead an ambitious, converging project.

In that same year R. Cibrian Campoy and Roberto Vivo joined efforts in writing the book “Negocios en Red” (Business online) published by well known Editorial Planeta, which had a wide readership in the region among the business world and as a model for entrepreneurs.

In Claxson, he was named Senior Vice President in charge of the Digital Area for the brand new company, and under that context he and a team of specialists created together the video platform ESDC (El Sitio Digital Channel), first of its kind in the region, with DRM (Digital Right Manager)  an application that made possible the copyright protection on web contents.

In March 2006 he left Claxson to create CCD2.
